This was taken right outside our front door. I simply asked, can you laugh, they burst out laughing as if I was telling her the funniest story. lol.
So we decided to go for a walk around the neighborhood and she suggested to go play "running" on the great lawn. How life can be so fulfilling just to be kid again :-)
We decided to go check out the Cantigny Park in Wheaton, IL (spring 2011). This shot was taken at the reflection pond. The pond has a story to it, i cant quite put it together so i decided to illuminate the rich colors of the water and it compliments the color of Kalea's skin and her dress.
I was using a reflector to get rid of all the shadows and her face just lifts up and it's amazing how this thing works its magic.
This shot brings out the richness in the colors of the sky, trees, and the child's.
This was taken in downtown Chicago. She was mesmerized by the tall buildings.
Millenium Park, Chicago has some of the BEST backgrounds for portraits shots. You'll just have to wait out to make sure no one is behind your object while taking the shot.
Although my wife doesnt agree with me, I still love this picture. The story here is that our daughter idolizes her mom in everything she does..and from the look of it, you can see how she wants her mommy all to herself, with the hand on her mommy's face and her eyes--pure, "SHE's ALL MINE". lol
